Age of Calamity
Written by Suzanne Graham
This pandemic, the video game industry has been a welcome resource as a way to play with friends or pass the time by ourselves. The Nintendo Switch was also in popular demand a while back as everyone rushed to get their own copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, including myself. However, that’s not the only good game released for the console.
One of my favorites is Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It isn’t a new game, but it contains a breathtaking open world that you can explore at your own pace. Link, in the game, is destined to help Zelda free Hyrule after the war from 100 years ago and you’re supposed to figure out how to do just that.
If you have already played the game, however, and are waiting for its sequel, Nintendo released news on September 8th that they are releasing Hyrule Warrior: Age of Calamity on November 20th. They also released the second look at the game on September 29th. Now, it’s not Breath of the Wild 2, but it does give us vital information on what happened 100 years ago. It also looks to be just as expansive as Breath of the Wild so I am eagerly awaiting its release.
What kinds of games have you been playing recently?
